Coach of Medeama Sporting Club – Yaw Acheampong has said that the Mauve and Yellows are still committed to finishing in the top 4 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

Medeama SC who were tipped by many pundits as one of the favourite teams to win the league prior to the start of the competition are currently fourth on the table with 46 points having lost 0-2 to Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday, but coach Acheampong insist that the Tarkwa based club are still not giving up.

“We have still not given up. We are still fighting and we believe that we will achieve our target at the end of the season.”

Midfielder Eric Kwakwa also said he’ll be disappointed if they are not able to meet their target at the end of the season.

“We’ll be disappointed if we are not able to meet our target at the end of the season because we have the quality [players], but in football anything at all can happen.”

Medeama will face Karela United in the round of 32 of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup competition on Saturday, June 19.
