Former Ghanaian international and current coach of Elmina Sharks Yaw Acheampong has revealed that the Premier League new boys [Elmina Sharks] used their match against WAFA at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope to screenshot his team.

The coach who was appointed to steer the affairs of the debutant after head coach Kobina Amissah who, guided Elmina Sharks from Division One to the Ghana Premier League was asked to step aside prior to their game against Hearts of Oak at the Nduom Sports Complex.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa [94.7] FM’s Ultimate Morning Show with Kwadwo Mensah Moshosho on Tuesday, July 25 Yaw Acheampong said:

“We [me and Felix Aboagye] had to take the time to quickly access our team soon after taking up the job.”

“In fact, we had to use our match against the West Africa Football Academy [WAFA] as a mirror, but I must admit that it was rather unfortunate that we lost that game because the players played very well,” Yaw Acheampong added.

Elmina Sharks’ renaissance in the past two weeks has seen them leapfrog to the seventh position on the league ladder with 33 points.
