Ga Manste and the President of the Ga Traditional Council, Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II has called on the youth of Ga Mashie and Ghana at large to find their talents and groom themselves to become world stars.

Speaking at his residence when Alhassan Okine, the World Kick Boxing Federation [WKBF] Super Welterweight Champion and SWAG Kickboxer of the year 2017 paid a courtesy call, he said the youth must not waste their potentials, but be serious with training regimes and be disciplined at all times.

He congratulated Okine for his brilliant achievements of claiming six title belts, and motivated him to go to greater heights after defending the title in Australia or Thailand.

“We the people of Ga Adangbe and Ghana are naturally strong and talented, so you must not relent, but train harder to win more and bigger titles” he advised.

The Ga Manste who is a keen sports enthusiast as well as former player of Accra Hearts of Oak presented wooden carving depicting a drummer and a citation conferring on Okine, the position of‘Kekalo – Brave Warrior’ in the Ga State.

He also commended President Nana Akufo Addo for setting up a task force to beautify the capital, where most visitors and tourist to Ghana step first.

Alhassan Okine promised to put God and his nation first as he prepares to defend his world title.

He thanked the king for honoring him with a citation which he never expected and urged Ghanaians to support other sports like karate, taekwondo, boxing and kickboxing, because they are action packed sporting entertainment.

Nii Ato Adama Okine, chief of Atoman and dad of the champion asked parents to inspire their children to do sports, because they become ambassadors and the rewards are massive.

Yours Truly, representing the combat sports federations and associations said Alhassan Okine is not the only champion as Ghana has produced Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai from La, also a world champion at the light heavyweight and more champions are in the pipeline, waiting for opportunity to fight and excel.
