Despite being wobbled by relegation threatened Crystal Palace on Monday Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has refused to give a concrete answer to his future at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners [Arsenal] were completely dominated and whipped 3-0 at the Selhurst Park by Sam Allardyce’s led Palace piling pressure on the 67-year-old Wenger whose stay at the Emirates has come under the microscope in recent weeks.
In his normal coy manner the coaching Professor [Arsene Wenger] refused to talk about his future:
“Honestly, I am disappointed so much,” Wenger retorted to a question about his future plans with the Gunners.
“To see that we lost the game in the way that we did that is very disappointing. At the moment, especially, it would be inconvenient for me to speak about me,” Wenger added.
“It was more painful for us to lose this game in the way we lost. It is very difficult to finish in the top four,” he noted.
Wenger urged the Arsenal supporters to rally behind the team in this difficult time.
“I want the fans to support the team. They are extremely disappointed and I can understand that like we all are,” he said.
Arsenal is currently sixth on the Premier League table and stands the chance of risking a Champions League spot which Wenger has played in his of his last nineteen seasons at the Emirates.
