Assistant coach of Legon Cities Football Club – Wahid Mohammed has said that The Royals chances of survival in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League is hugely dependent on their matchweek 32 game against Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow.

According to Wahid, the players are very much aware of the situation at hand and cannot fail on Saturday:

“Everyone is aware of what is at stake [for Legon Cities]. We have to win this game to survive, so this is our final crucial match and every player knows about that. We have to win at all cost.

“The league is about to end so we have to fire ourselves up from the technical team to the players.”

Legon Cities are going into this fixture after three run of defeats against Karela United, Hearts of Oak, and King Faisal.

But coach Wahid Mohammed has attributed that run of poor results to the absence of some key players:

“The reason is simple. We lost some players through national team assignment, injuries, and some through accumulation of cards, but now everybody is back and we are prepared for Bechem United.

“We have really prepared very well ahead of this match. For instance, we missed about six or seven players in our games against Hearts of Oak and King Faisal, but they are all back so we are very confident of winning.”

Legon Cities and Bechem United are both on 38 points and are seriously in need of the maximum three points at stake.
