West Africa Football Academy [WAFA] stretched their lead on the Ghana Premier League [GPL] table to three points on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 after beating Liberty Professionals 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.

The win was heavily inspired by Togolese striker [Komlan Agbeniadan] who’s brace [35th and 85th minutes] ensured that Samuel Sarfo’s late goal was nothing short of a consolation for the scientific soccer lads [Liberty Professionals].

The soccer physicians [WAFA] who have kept their winning streak to seven matches are at the summit of the GPL table with 29 points.

Asante Kotoko’s winless streak was activated again at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi where the Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Aduana Stars.

Ironically, the last time Kotoko won a league match was against WAFA [1-0] on matchday 6 in the Garden City [Kumasi]. Aduana Stars are second on the table with 26 points whilst the Porcupine Warriors are fifth on the log with 20 points.

Hearts of Oak were held to a 3-3 drawn game by new entrant, Bolga All Stars at the Tamale Utrecht Park.
