The West Africa Football Academy [WAFA] gave a boost to their title chase yesterday as they humbled Ghana Premier League champions, Wa All Stars 3-0 at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.

The soccer physicians [WAFA] came close twice in the first half through Prince Ampem Darko and Fofanah but could not find the back of the net as the visitors marshaled a great defensive wall to end the first half goalless.

WAFA returned from the break looking more swift going forward and deservingly took the lead in the 48th minute through Musah Nuhu as he headed in from a corner kick.

Two goals in a minute [53rd and 54th]from Mohammed Coulibaly and Prince Jude Ampem were all but what the host [WAFA] needed to see off Wa All Stars. The first leg at the Malick Jabir Park also ended 4-0 in favour of the soccer physicians.

WAFA still occupies the second spot on the league table with 50 points whiles Wa All Stars lies sixth on the log with 39 points.
