Joseph Paul Amoah has been handed a tricky draw in the men’s 200 semifinals as he comes up against the likes of Eryyon Knighton of the United State as well as Jamaica’s Rasheed Dwyer.

The Ghanaian sprinter completed his heat in 20.35 seconds [3rd position], behind Noah Lyles [20.18] and Sibusiso Matsenjwa [20.34].

But, Joseph Amoah would have to tweak his spikes to its highest gear if he really want to qualify for the finals.

Below is the order of run:

Zhenye Xie [China] – Lane 2

Anaso Jobodwana [South Africa] – Lane 3

Eryyon Kinghton [USA] – Lane 4

Femi Ogunode [Qatar] – Lane 5

Rasheed Dwyer [Jamaica] – Lane 6

Divine Oduduru [Nigeria] – Lane 7

Fostine Desalu [Italy] – Lane 8

Joseph Paul Amoah [Ghana] – Lane 9

The likes of Zhenye Xie, Divine Oduduru, Fostine Desalu, and Erryon Knighton have got what it takes to upset the Ghanaian sprinter should he lose concentration.
