Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey could be handed the No. 6 jersey should he complete his much publicized transfer from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal this summer.

Manager Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his squad ahead of the 2020/21 campaign and has penciled down certain players who could help him compete for silverware next season.

Key among the players Arteta want at the north London outfit [Arsenal] is Black Stars midfield kingpin – Thomas Partey.

The Krobo Odumase born midfielder has made 27 appearances for the Black Stars, scoring 10 goals.

According to SPORTS24GHANA.COM source at the Emirates Stadium, the Ghanaian midfielder is likely to be handed Laurent Koscielny’s No. 6 jersey which has been idle since the departure of the former captain to Bordeaux.

In his attempt to increase the performance on the field of Play, Mikel Arteta is also eyeing Philippe Coutinho,
Willian, John Stones, Dayot Upamecano, and Dominik Szoboszlai among plenty others.
