Sydney’s own, George Kambosos Jr. will have a pound of point to prove in the ring on Saturday, November 27 as he challenge Teófimo Andrés López Rivera Jr. for his WBA, IBF, WBO lightweight title belts at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden, New York.
Affectionately known as Ferocious, The New South Wales orthodox boxer [Kambosos] has not fought since his last win [split decision] against Lee Selby at The SSE Arena, London on October 31, 2020.
Interestingly, The Takeover [Teófimo López] has also not mounted the ring since his historic win over Vasyl Lomachenko at the MGM Grand Conference Center, Paradise, Nevada on October 17, 2020.
The two boxers have proven to be knockout artist which means the fight may not travel the full distance.
Out of 16 fights, Teófimo López has finished 12 of his opponent through knockouts while the Sydney born Kambosos has also finished 10 out of his 19 fight via knockouts.
Both boxers have never drawn or lost on the road.
The fight between Teófimo López and George Kambosos has been rescheduled a couple of times due to multiple factors including COVID-19.
