Erling Braut Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund career has gotten off to a roaring start, with the teenager taking just three minutes to notch up his first goal.
Haaland came on in the second half of his new team’s helter-skelter affair against Augsburg and showed exactly why there was a mini-war for his signature with his finish just minutes later.
The Norweigan youngster was a man possessed upon his entrance, transforming Dortmund into a completely different looking side in just seconds.
The 19-year-old got off the mark after he was played through on goal, smashing a low finish into the bottom corner with his left foot.
Then, having sent shivers down the spines of opposing defenders, he knocked a simple finish into an open net to finish off a terrifyingly ruthless counter-attack.
He rounded off his perfect afternoon just a few minutes later, latching onto a sublime through ball before sliding past the hapless keeper.
Astonishing – the boy was born to score goals.
He single-handedly turned the game on its head and Dortmund fans will have fallen in love with their new star already.
For Manchester United fans though, Haaland’s electric debut will leave a sour taste in the mouth after they missed out on one of the worlds hottest properties.
Haaland is one of the most exciting talents on the continent and his time at Dortmund promises to be very fruitful.
Dortmund would go onto win 5-3 after Jadon Sancho and Julian Brandt chipped in with strikes of their own.
If you had asked Haaland what his dream debut might look like, three goals in less than a half might have sounded a bit ambitious.
That’s exactly what he has gone and done though.
We knew he was good, but just how good can Haaland be?
We can’t wait to find out.
