The Blue Samurai of Japan brushed Ghana aside this morning having beaten the Black Meteors 6-0 at the Best Denki Stadium in the first of two scheduled friendly international games.
Like the fishes in the deep ocean, Takefusa Kubo, Ritsu Doan, Ayase Ueda, and Kaoru Mitoma were just too slippery for the Black Meteors to handle as they manage to put three goals into Ghana’s net in the first stanza without breaking sweat.
The host took the lead in the 16th minute when an unmarked Ritsu Doan latched onto a lose ball in the eighteen to volley home. Real Madrid attacker, Takefusa Kubo extended the lead for Japan in the 31st minute having been put through by Ayase Ueda.
In an attempt to clear Hiroki Sakai’s cross, Black Meteors central defender – Frank Assinki ended up scoring an own goal.
Japan continued from where they left off in the second stanza as they added three more goals through Yuki Soma [48th minute], Ayase Ueda, and Kaoru Mitoma.
The two sides are set to play again on Wednesday.
