StarTimes Ghana [official broadcast right holder of the Ghana Premier League] has commiserated with Asante Kotoko Sporting Club following the fatal motor accident of the Porcupine Warriors on their return journey from Accra to Kumasi on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Moved by the tragic news Mr. Ernest Quaye Arday and Mrs. Akofa Djankui of StarTimes paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer [CEO] of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei and his Executives at the team’s secretariat on Thursday to comfort the Kotoko fraternity.

Mr. Arday recalled the warm relationship that exists between StarTimes and the Ghana Premiere League teams, therefore this tragedy equally touches StarTimes profoundly, hence the journey to commiserate with Kotoko upon hearing the unfortunate news.

Dr. Kyei also noted that the tragedy that has befallen Kotoko has shocked the entire football fraternity and the Kotoko family rendering them into grief.

Dr. Kyei used the occasion to thank StarTimes for their donation and expression of sympathy, intimating Kotoko’s deeply felt appreciation to StarTimes and indeed all Ghanaians especially the Minister of Youth and Sports and the officials of the Ghana Football Association for their prompt response upon hearing the news.
