Olympic champion Elaine Thompson had to settle for second place behind Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas in the 200m at the Zurich Diamond League meeting on Thursday.
Miller-Uibo came from behind in the final 50m to win in a new Bahamas national record of 21.88.
Thompson crossed the line in 22.00 ahead of Marie-Josee Ta Lou (22.09) of the Ivory Coast and world champion, Dafne Schippers (22.36) of the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Britain’s CJ Ujah upset a strong field in the 100 m, clocking 9.97 to win in a photo finish over Ivorian Ibrahim Meitre.
World Champion, American Justin Gatlin was fourth in 10.04. Jamaica’s Asafa Powell was down the field in 7th, crossing the finish line in 10.11.
