Ghanaian boxer – Samuel Takyi gave Ghana something to smile about as he crawled back to record a 3-2 win over Avila Segura Ceiber David in the men’s featherweight division at the Kokugikan Arena on Sunday, August 1.

It was a pure comeback victory for the regimented boxer from the Discipline Boxing Gym in Accra having lost the first round 9-10 to winning the other two rounds to see him through to the semifinal phase of the men’s boxing competition.

Avila Segura who defeated Mulenga Everisto in the round of 16 stage was stunned by the speed and the excellent leg work from his Ghanaian opponent who boxed like a real champ especially in the last round.
