Former Black Stars and Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffuor has spoken about the changes in African football and what the future holds for the beautiful game in African.

“The future is bright for African football. So many things have changed in many areas,” Kuffuor stated.

“It’s amazing to see African football grow every day. We never thought African football would come this far.

“That tells you that development is going on so the future is bright for African Football.

Samuel Osei Kuffuor who represented Ghana at all levels during his playing days – Under 17, Under 20, Under 23, and the Black Stars also talked about the changing phase of African football.

“There’s too many things to talk about African football. It is beautiful to see that African football is going a different direction.

“We’ve changed so many things in the game today. Those days, the pitches were not good, but today we have beautiful pitches hosting the African Cup of Nations.

Samuel Osei Kuffuor won the BBC African Footballer of the Year Award in 2001.
