Head coach of Nigeria Salisu Yusuf has said that the Super Eagles will have to win their next two games against Ghana and Guinea in other to brighten their chance of progressing into the quarter-final phase of the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles were held by Mali on Thursday, but coach Yusuf believes that all is not lost for Nigeria.

“We will work hard to win our next game because to qualify you need to beat the other teams. That’s the mindset – to be able to win our next game and the last game,” Coach Yusuf said in a post match interview.

He also reckoned that the Super Eagles were entangled by a disciplined Mali side.

“’We couldn’t play up to our standard although the team defended very well,” he noted.

Nigeria will play Guinea in their next match on Saturday, September 16.
