Barely a week ago, former Asante Kotoko winger – Stephen Oduro revealed in an interview that the founder of God’s Way Church [Bishop Daniel Obinim] was a talented footballer before he switched.

Today, the beleaguered man of God has confirmed Stephen Oduro’s revelation, saying that Michael Essien, Stephen Oduro and Osei Kuffour were some of his playing mates.

Bishop Obinim further reiterated that he once played for Kumasi based King Faisal, owned by Alhaji Grunsah – one of the most experience football administrators in Ghana.

Interestingly, whiles Stephen Oduro claimed in his interview that Obinim used to be a better player than him, the ‘Man of God’ said in a viral video that he had to quit playing football because he realized his chance of making it as a footballer was dim.
