Acting Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, Mr. Robert Kuzoe has congratulated the Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG] for their foresight in planning to celebrate national heroes in sports.
Speaking at the launch of the 43rd SWAG Awards Night on Thursday, Mr. Kuzoe noted that sports is a great channel through which Ghana can be made visible to the world.
“Sports is one of the main channels through which Ghana is made visible to the world, thus we encourage SWAG not to relent but continue to use this medium to promote the development of sports in Ghana.”
“As a business, we are enthused by the fact that SWAG is able to produce a list of nominees for the awards immediately after commencing the New Year.
“This shows how you keenly follow events in the sports sector to choose persons who deserve Commendation.”
The AG Corporate Services Executive [Mr. Kuzoe] also challenged the SWAG to come up with more innovative ideas that will align with the digital agenda of the leading telecommunication network in Ghana in terms of voice clarity – MTN Ghana.

“The key thing here is that we need to generate more interests around the awards.
“As an association of media persons, it will be a great idea to use your platforms to review the performances of the nominees and generate more discussions on the event.
“This, I believe will help project the nominees more, bring them into the limelight and also cause the nation to appreciate their contributions.
“MTN urges you to utilize the many sports shows on air and social media space to highlight the profile of your nominees in line with international best practice.”
