Ghanaian boxer – Richard Oblitey Commey was charmed at his hotel having received a courtesy call from Teofimo Lopez days after losing [Unanimous Decision] the vacant WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title to Vasiliy Lomachenko at the Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
The former IBF lightweight world champion [Commey] could not believe the gesture from Teofimo Lopez who handed him a TKO [Round 2] at The Garden on December 14, 2019.
Enraptured by the visit, Commey took to his Twitter handle to express his delight:
“Wow just got a call in my hotel room that someone was in the lobby and wanted to say hello, I couldn’t believe it when I saw @TeofimoLopez.
“He congratulated me on my performance and wished me all the best. I am so touched that he took the time to see me. God bless you Teo Flag of GhanaRed heartFlag of Ghana.”
