English Premier League side [Swansea City] are interested in signing Ghanaian defender Daniel Opare Tawiah from FB Augsburg in the January window.

Opare [27] contract expires at the end of the season and it’s believed he is likely to stay in the Bundesliga.

However, Augsburg are ready to consider offers from potential suitors in January including the Welsh club.

Meanwhile, Swansea City could face competition from Everton, West Ham United, Stoke City and RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Sevilla, as well as Olympic Marseille.

Daniel Opare joined Augsburg from FC Porto in 2015, and spent the second part of last season on loan at French Club Lens.

The 2009 World Youth Championship gold medalist [Daniel Opare] has enjoyed a great season with Augsburg, playing 12 [1080 minutes] out of the 14 matches.

He has won 16 caps for Ghana and played in the 2014 World Cup alongside Swansea striker Jordan Ayew.
