Medeama Sporting Club midfielder – Rashid Nortey has donated assorted items to the Good Shepherd Orphanage at Odupong Ofaakor [Bohye Asaseso] in the central region.

The donation made over the weekend include items such as rice, toiletries, biscuits, sugar, beverages, as well as GHC1000.

Nortey [25yrs] has been a central figure in the Medeama SC set-up since making his debut for the Mauve and Yellows on February 26, 2017 in their 3–2 loss to Liberty Professionals.

He received a call up to the Black Stars ahead of Ghana’s friendly match against Uzbekistan national team.

He, however, made his debut for main Black Stars team on June 08, 2021 in Ghana’s friendly international game against Morocco having come on to replace Emmanuel Lomotey late in the second stanza of the match.

Founded by Apostle Paul Kweku Addei, Good Shepherd Orphanage also has a football team known as Shepherd Stars Football Club.

Shepherd Stars Football Club play in the central regional division II league.
