Greek Super League club – PAOK Thessaloniki reported a positive COVID-19 case on Sunday, August 02.
The player whose identity remains undisclosed has mild symptoms of the virus and is quarantined at his residence while the rest of the team trained on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, all the players and staff will undergo further tests today.
PAOK was second in the last Greek league and will play in the Champions League in the new season, where it will start in the second preliminary round.
Furthermore, the Greek Water Polo Federation announced on Sunday that four more players from its men’s national team had tested positive for the new coronavirus and were therefore quarantined.
A first positive had been announced on that selection on Saturday, so the account now rises to five.
The men’s and women’s teams in that sport will undergo further testing on Tuesday. Her training sessions have been suspended for the moment.
