Chief Marketing Officer of Tema Craft Brewery [TCB] – Mr. Christopher Okpara has admonished that the Ghanaian based company’s three-year partnership deal with the Ghana Athletics Association [GAA] is not going to be a showy one.

Speaking to the press at the unveiling ceremony of the partnership agreement between Tema Craft Brewery, manufacturers of Django range of beverages and the GAA at the Accra Sports Stadium [Media Center] on Tuesday, September 07, Mr. Okpara explained that the partnership between the two bodies is a clear commitment to the development of athletics in Ghana.

According to the Chief Marketing Officer of TCB, their partnership with the GAA is a carefully muted one that seeks to go beyond the stated three years.

“Thank you guys [GAA] for allowing us to come partner with you. To us, this is not a flash in a pan. This is something that we are very intentional about at Tema Craft Brewery.

“There’s a lot of passion points that we share with the GAA. The perseverance, the opportune of excellence, the optimism that comes with athletics as a sport.

“We are a made in Ghana company and we believe that no one is going to come and pretty do the things that we are supposed to do and so it’s all about walking the talk and this is the first step towards that mission.”

As part of the partnership arrangement, TCB is expected to help the Ghana Athletics Association organize one major championships dubbed ‘Django Athletics Championships.’
