Legon Cities FC goalkeeper – Eric Ofori Antwi has dedicated his Man-of-the-Match [MOTM] award to coach Maxwell Konadu.

The former Medeama Sporting Club shot stopper stood between Legon Cities and goal yesterday, helping The Royals to pick a point against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The agile goalkeeper lauded his coach for always believing and instilling confidence in him:

“Maxwell Konadu is more than a father to me. He has always believed in me and gave me the confidence to excel,” Ofori Antwi said.

“I dedicate this MOTM award to him and all my teammates. We will keep our head up high and focus on the other matches ahead,” he added.

According to Ofori Antwi, Legon Cities came into the game well prepared and wanted to snatch all three points from Hearts of Oak:

“This is a big game and we were so much motivated and ready for it. The confidence was on a different level from my teammates. We gave our all but sadly couldn’t get the win but generally the draw was okay.”
