Team Ghana have departed Accra to Japan to begin a three-week preparation in Inawashiro ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The team that departed the Kotoko International Airport in Accra on Thursday, June 30, 2021 included Suleman Tetteh, Shakul Samir, Samuel Takyi who will represent Ghana in boxing, and one weightlifter – Christian Amoah.

Meanwhile, the rest of the athletes [men’s 4x100m relay team], two swimmers and triple jump athlete – Nadia Eke, who are all based in Europe are expected to join the rest of their teammates next week.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be held from Jul 23 to Aug 8, 2021.
