Records tumbled in Anyinase yesterday as Karela United Football Club pipped Inter Allies 1-0 with the Nzema goal ‘god’ – Diawisie Taylor also writing his name into the club’s history books as the first player to score at the newly constructed Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
Having scored on matchday 1 against AshantiGold SC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, the hot-headed striker [Diawisie Taylor] became the first player to score a goal at the newly constructed artificial pitch in Ayinase.
The two sides produced an aesthetic performance in the first stanza but with no goals to talk about as both Karela United and Inter Allies managed to create just one goal scoring chance apiece.
But, Diawisie Taylor ensured he writes his name in gold as scored from the spot in the 74th minute to hand Karela United FC a slim win over Inter Allies.
The win gives Karela FC 4 points, while Inter Allies remains on a single point having drawn their opening game with Dreams FC last Monday.
