After hours of back and forth, Manchester City has finally released German winger – Leroy Sane to FC Bayern Munich.

“Leroy has been part of one of the most special periods in this club’s history and he leaves with the best wishes of everyone here at Manchester City,” Director of Football [Man City] Txiki Begiristain said.

“From arriving as a fledgling young talent four years ago, we are proud of the contribution Leroy has made since joining Manchester City. He leaves with many friends and fond memories of his time at the Etihad,” he added.

Manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola also wished the talented winger well.

“We wish Leroy all the best in this new chapter of his career,” he said.

Bayern Munich’s Director of football – Hasan ‘Brazzo’ Salihamidzic has welcomed Leroy Sane to the German champions:

“We are delighted that Leroy will be playing for #FCBayern. Leroy is a real difference maker and he will strengthen our team with his quality” he twitted.

Sane [24], spent four years at the Etihad, winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups and two Community Shields.

The German attacker who made his debut as a substitute in our 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford went on to make 135 appearances for City across all competitions, scoring 39 goals and assisting 45.
