Nii Armah crowned King of the first Armwrestling National Open Championship

Ebenezer Nii Armah has been crowned as the King of the maiden edition of the Ghana Armwrestling National Open Championship held at the DG Hathiramani Sports Hall [Accra Sports Stadium] held on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

Nii Armah, from Odorkor in Accra who won the 120kg category took home a brand new silver watch $400 as his prize.

In the female category, however, Alberta Frimpong of the Ghana Police Service swept aside all her compatriot to win the ultimate.

Some of the participating institutions at the one day event were; Ghana Immigration Service [GIS], the Ghana Police Service [GPS], and the Ghana Revenue Authority [GRA].

Meanwhile, lots of the spectators who gathered at the DG Hathiramani Sports Hall were expecting to see a team from the Ghana Armed Forces [GAF] but their expectations could not be realized as the strong men from the barracks did not turn up.

The maiden Ghana Armwrestling National Open Championship was proudly sponsored by Twillium Ghana Limited [Producers of Rush Energy Drink], Kofikrom Pharmacy Ltd, with support from – Binatone Electronics, Awards Center, Uncle T Malt, Paradise Pac Mineral Water, Vita Milk, Henry’s Inn Restaurant and Kasapreko company Ltd.
