Super Eagles midfielder – Onyinye Wilfred Ndidi finished the 2019/2020 English Premier League season as the joint top tackler with Manchester United’s right fullback, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Leicester City central midfielder [Ndidi] and Wan-Bissaka made 129 successful tackles each, while Ricardo Pereira earned 119 successful tackles.

Wilfred Ndidi was brought [January 5, 2017] in to fill the gap N’Golo Kanté had left at the King Power Stadium, but the Nigerian has been a complete Fox in the middle of the Leicester City set up having been noticed on the top tacklers’ chart for three consecutive seasons.

In his first season, Ndidi topped the tacklers’ chart with 138 successes and will go on to make 144 tackles in the following season ahead of Idrissa Gueye [143] of Everton [then] and Aaron Wan-Bissaka [128], then of Crystal Palace.

The Nathaniel Boys of Lagos graduate featured for the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the 2019 AFCON tournament.
