As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, MTN Ghana has announced a special package aimed at rewarding football loving fans across the length and breadth of the country.

According to a statement from the most trusted communication network, they are working on deploying fun engagement online activities via the MTN Hottseat App where fans of the MTN FA Cup will have an opportunity to win prizes for themselves.

“For our football lovers, we will be deploying fun engagement activities on our online platforms including the MTN Hottseat App, available on Android and IOS,” the statement said.

“This will commence from the round of 16 matches up to the final game. Prizes up for grabs include high -end devices, shopping vouchers and many more,” it added.

The statement further explained why MTN Ghana decided to come on board to partner the Ghana Football Association in the direction of the FA Cup:

“As a business that believes that everybody deserves the benefits of a modern connected life, we find it very appropriate to demonstrate this belief by sponsoring the FA Cup, a game that connects millions, brightening their lives and entertaining them at the same time and that is what we as a business are about, brightening lives everywhere we go.”

MTN Ghana has, however, promised to keep its core business commitment as a telecommunications service provider.

“Last week, we launched our 25th anniversary celebrations. This celebration is not just to observe our existence in Ghana but also 25 years of the introduction of the GSM technology in Ghana which was first introduced by MTN, then operating with the brand name Spacefon.

“Over the years we have invested Over Six Billion Dollars [$6 billion] in network infrastructure expanding service coverage to almost every part of Ghana with 2G, 3G and 4G services.

“We continue to invest to ensure that customers enjoy the best of service in spite of challenges we experience acquiring permits to further enhance our coverage.”
