Asante Kotoko played in an empty stadium on matchday 5 of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League as they struggled to beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0.

The Porcupine Warriors who are paying the price for crowd hooliganism, had to count on the magic of their newfound prodigy – Matthew Cudjoe’s 86th minute goal and Richard Arthur to give them the much needed win to spark up their season having lost matches on the bounce.

The stands were not completely empty though as reporters were allowed in the press box to cover the game, which was telecast live on StarTimes Adepa TV

Playing a football match without any fans present especially for a club like Asante Kotoko could be such a surreal experience, but their management team organized few supporters to watch the game live on TV at a Pub close to the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko’s next game is against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium .
