Spanish news outlet Sport have linked Manchester United with a bold move for Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez this summer.

Zinedine Zidane has informed the Colombian that he does not have a place at the Bernabeu next season with Dani Ceballos joining from Real Betis, and Rodriguez will need to find a new club.

The former Porto and Monaco standout is not short of suitors, with Liverpool mentioned alongside the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, PSG and Juventus as clubs interested in Rodriguez.

That being said, the Red Devils are reportedly unwilling to meet the €75m asking price for the attacking midfielder and will need that price-tag lowered before they consider a bid.

Zidane has made it clear that he’s in a rush to sell Rodriguez, which could drive the asking price down, but will only further entice the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, PSG and Juventus into making a bid.
