Jamaican sprinter – Briana Nichole Williams has equaled her indoor 60m personal best [PB] of 7.18 seconds, finishing third at the 2022 LSU Purple Tiger Invitational on Friday.

Williams, who became the youngest athlete to win the women’s 100 metres and 200 metres double at the 2018 World Under-20 Championships in Tampere at age 16 finished the heat in 7.20 seconds.

She, however, finished third in the final behind Aleia Hobbs [7.10], and Mikiah Briscoe who ran 7.17 seconds.

Briana Williams was part of Jamaica’s gold medal-winning 4x100m relay team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan running as the lead off girl.
