Liverpool’s dream of winning the EPL title came an inch closer than normal on Wednesday night as the Reds pulverized Crystal Palace 4-0 at Anfield.
The Reds would be handed the title this evening should Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Should Man City win tonight, their next game against Liverpool on Saturday.
Trent Alexander-Arnold broke the deadlock with an expertly taken free kick before three goals from Mohamed Salah, Fabinho, and Sadio Mane killed the game.
Crystal Palace had enjoyed some back-to-back wins [4 straight wins] prior to last night’s game but Liverpool proved why they are still unbeaten at Anfield this season, winning 28 out of 31 Premier League games.
Despite boasting of 18 league championship titles, Liverpool’s last title triumph came in the 1989/1990 season under Kenny Dalglish.
