Liberty Professionals and Aduana Stars will be seeking for nothing less than a win in their respective matches as the Ghana Premier League enters week 4 this weekend.
The scientific soccer lads [Liberty Professionals] have been battling with relegation for the past three seasons, and the obvious question one would like to ask is whether things will be different this time around.
In fact, the panache with which Liberty used to play and invariable got them the tag ‘The scientific soccer lads,’ has long been relegated to the extent that the Dansoman based club now play like a team that is nearing the last-chance saloon.
The bottomed club [Liberty Professionals] will host Medeama SC at the Karl Reindorf Park on Sunday.
Medeama is quite rich in terms of materials on the field of play and will certainly give the home side too much to think about, but the scientific soccer lads are likely to run away with the three maximum points nonetheless.
Aduana Stars, on the other hand will welcome Inter Allies to the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa.
The league champions [Aduana Stars] are yet to muster a single win this season and will be hoping to appease their supporters with a win over the visitors who have proven not to be dangerous on the road.
Elmina Sharks will also engage the sexy West Africa Football Academy [WAFA] at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina.
The match between the Sharks and WAFA should be a lively game to watch because both Elmina Sharks and WAFA play decently, although the soccer physicians are slightly ahead in terms of possessive football.
Ebusua Dwarfs will also travel to the western region to face Karela FC at the Anyinase Park.
The debutant [Karela] are struggling to get on track since joining the Premier League.
They aren’t a bad side to watch, but I strongly believe they’ll get picked up by clubs until they realize they are no more playing in the Division One League.
However, playing in front of their home crowd should be enough motivation for them to pick the three points at stake at the expense of the mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs.
Asante Kotoko SC will be hoping to cash in on new entrant – Eleven Wonders as they welcome them to the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. The Porcupine Warriors [Kotoko] have been struggling to rain goals at their home ground but I seriously don’t think Eleven Wonders can cause any havoc to Kotoko who are the obvious favourite going into the game
League leaders [AshantiGold SC] and Bechem United will sort things out at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday whiles Berekum Chelsea and All Stars clash horns at the Wa Park.
Hearts of Oak will also be at their new found home [Cape Coast Sports Stadium] to welcome the silky Dreams FC.
