Former Hearts of Oak attacking middie – Bernard Don Bortey paid a courtesy call on the Phobians at training yesterday morning ahead of their matchweek 26 game against Eleven Wonders at the Nana Ameyaw Park in Techiman today.

The ‘Serial Killer’ as he was affectionately called during his playing days used the occasion used to advice the players not to take their eyes off the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League trophy because he believes the current team have what it takes to lift the trophy.

According to Bortey, the players will have their names written in the good books of Hearts should they win the league.

Don Bortey, an integral part of the “64 Battalion” formed a deadly attacking quartet with Charles Taylor, Ishmael Addo, and Emmanuel Osei Kuffour.

He was part of the Hearts of Oak team that won the CAF Champions League for Hearts of Oak in 2001 as well as CAF Confederation Cup in 2004. He is also a four-time Ghanaian Premier League Champion.
