Liberty Professionals forward – Kwame Paul has explained why he was emotional in his jubilation after pulling parity for the scientific soccer lads in their penultimate league game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The Dansoman based side [39 points] who are enduring a tumultuous season needed to avoid a defeat to the runaway league champions at all cost, but Daniel Afriyie Barnie broke the hearts of many Liberty supporters when he headed home the first goal for the Phobians just before half time.

But, the scientific soccer lads did not relent piling pressure upon pressure on Hearts of Oak until they finally got the much needed equalizer in the 87th minute through Kwame Paul who couldn’t hide the emotional side of him in his celebration.

“These things happen when you know that you cannot lose a particular game but things becomes difficult with time in the course of play and you finally get the equalizer to salvage a point for your team,” Kwame Paul explained.

He further added that securing a point against Hearts of Oak is not bad while urging his teammates to go all out in their final game against King Faisal.

“The result means a lot for us [the playing body] because we have one last game to play and we have to go all out so that we can survive relegation.”
