Miami FC attacking midfielder Kwadwo Poku has said that it feels amazing to play for the male senior national soccer team of Ghana – the Black Stars.
“I don’t know how to express it, I mean it feels amazing and I’m glad to be back home playing for the national team – Black Stars,” Kwadwo Poku told journalists after Ghana’s training session on Tuesday, August 29.
Kwadwo Poku [25] also reckoned that all the countries in Group E [Ghana, Congo, Uganda, and Egypt] are difficult side to play, but Ghana are the best in terms of talents.
“Every game in this tournament is very difficult, every team is good, but as everybody knows, Ghana has got the best of talents so everything is possible and that is why we are here to make it possible.
“We are on the same page. Everybody wants to qualify to the World Cup and it’s a big achievement to play in the World Cup [Playing against the best players on the big stage] so we are ready, I can tell.”
The Black Stars will come face-to-face with Diables Rouges [Red Devils] of Congo on Friday, September 01 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi at 3:30pm.
