Nigerian forward – Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as Leicester City made the perfect start to their 2020/21 Europa League campaign after cruising to a comfortable 3-0 win over Zorya Luhansk.

It was a three-star performance from the Premier League side as goals from James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho gave the Foxes the maximum points in their Group G opener.

Zorya Luhansk nearly hit the back of the net, but Kasper Schmeichel denied him vehemently as the hosts brushed off the visitors with ease.

The win could serve as a moral booster for the Foxes ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates after damaging home defeats to West Ham and Aston Villa.

The Foxes will then travel to Greece to face AEK Athens next week in their next Europa League fixture.
