South African midfielder – Dumisani Percervearance Zuma is set to face disciplinary charges having been suspended by Kaiser Chiefs.
Zuma [26yrs] who has represented South Africa at under-20 and under-23 levels was reportedly arrested for drink driving last week after he was pulled over at a roadblock during curfew hours in Sandton whilst allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
“Kaizer Chiefs is disappointed to learn of the recent alleged conduct of Dumsani Zuma as reported in the media and has taken the decision to immediately suspend him from all Club activities pending an internal disciplinary hearing,” the club said in a statement on Wednesday.
“His suspension is in the interests of all parties concerned and does not in itself carry any inference of guilt or prejudgement. The club will ensure the matter is resolved as quickly as reasonably possible.”
