Kaizer Chiefs have raised serious concerns ahead of their CAF Champions League game against Simba Sporting Club at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam [Tanzania] tomorrow.

The Amakhosi [Kaizer Chiefs] goes into the game looking very confident having won the first leg 4-0 at the FNB Stadium on May 15.

But, despite the superior advantage the Soweto giants, marketing director -Jessica Motaung has raised concerns about off the field mischief and maneuvering from Simba in order to destabilize Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the game.

“It’s not going to be easy; it hasn’t been an easy journey. I’m thankful to some of the teams that have hosted us, [they have been] very gracious,” Motaung told the media.

“We’re very concerned about the potential shenanigans we may face where we’re going, but that’s not going to distract us. What’s important is for the team to continue being focused.

“The foundation has been laid, it was a very good game last week and the team has to do well. We’re not going to allow ourselves to be distracted by what could potentially happen, but it would be unfortunate if we suddenly have positive Covid-19 results – we haven’t had those, or any other issues.

“The team is very prepared and very organised logistically, so I’m very proud of them. It’s a historic moment and I’m asking our supporters to support the team, rally behind the players as they have and continue to do, and let’s continue to make history.”
