Kaizer Chiefs coach – Stuart Baxter is hoping for one last surprise in the 2020/21 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League as the Amakhosi face Al Ahly this evening at the Complexe Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.

The Soweto giants have recorded some surprising results on the road to the finals having beaten the likes of Simba SC and Wydad.

This has propel the experience gaffer into believing that Kaizer Chiefs have what it takes to beat Al Ahly to win the trophy.

“I knew the club’s situation well when I agreed to come back. I have been working with the players for some time, but being back on the bench is different.

“Having to watch the team from the stands was difficult but now I’m back and happy to be on the bench.

“We have made many surprises on the road to the final, but can we have one more? We will see.”

“Pitso Mosimane [Al Ahly coach] has a very good history in the continent. I respect him and we faced each other before. On the night, past experiences will not affect the game. Each game has its own scenarios.

“Al Ahly were expected to be here, we were not. We are the underdogs for most of the people, but in football you should believe, I have great respect for Al Ahly but we believe we can get a good result.”
