Former Tema Youth attacking midfielder – Joseph Paintsil scored two second half goals to wrestle for a hard earned point for Ankaragucu at the Vodafone Park in Istanbul on Friday.

The home side [Besiktas] took the lead in time added on in the first stanza through Ante Kulusic’s own goal.

Kulusic, would, however gift Besiktas Jimnastic a second goal in less seven minutes as the Croatian central defender magically hit a second own goal in a single game.

But, Joseph Paintsil’s two goals in the second stanza was enough to wipe the sins of the Croat. The Black Stars attacker pulled one back in the 65th minute from the spot.

And, just when Besiktas thought they had run away with all three points at stake, the GenK loanee [Paintsil] broke the hearts of many a Besiktas fun having scoring for the second time [penalty] in time added on.

The Ghanaian took to his Twitter handle to share his delight after the game:

“Great fighting spirit by the entire team. Glad to be on the scoring sheet. We go again next time,” he wrote.
