Jordan Ayew’s jaw dropping goal against West Ham United at the Selhurst Park on Boxing Day has been shortlisted for the Budweiser Goal of the Month for December.

The Ghanaian trequartista showed his mazy dribbling skills in the 90th minute as he cut in from the right and waved his way through the Hammers defence and calmly chipped the ball past Roberto Jimenez in post for West Ham.

Ayew’s wonder goal in front of the 25,462 spectators earned the Eagles a late comeback victory [2-1] over West Ham United.

Eight of the best Premier League strikes in the month under consideration are competing for the Budweiser Goal of the Month.

The December Budweiser Goal of the Month shortlist includes:

Jack Grealish [Man United 2-2 Aston Villa] – December 01

Rodrigo Hernandez [Burnley 1-4 Man City] – December 03

Xherdan Shaqiri [Liverpool 5-2 Everton] – December 04

Son Heung-min [Tottenham 5-0 Burnley] – December 07

Michael Obafemi [Chelsea 0-2 Southampton] – December 26

Jordan Ayew [ Crystal Palace 2-1 West Ham United] – December 26

The winner of the Budweiser Goal of the Month is chosen by a combination of an online public vote, which contribute to 10% of the final tally, and a panel of experts who screen through the goals nominated and pass their judgments on each and every goal.

The nine monthly winners at the end of the season are put forward for the Premier League Goal of the Season.

Below are the players who have won the award this season:

Harvey Barnes [Leicester City] – August
