Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew opened his 2019/2020 Premier League goal account on Saturday, August 24 when he capitalized on Harry Maguire’s poor defensive marking to punish Manchester United at the Old Trafford.

The Crystal Palace attacker [Jordan Ayew] found the right space at the right time in the 32nd minute when Jeffrey Schlupp jumped higher than Victor Lindelof to put his countryman [Ayew] in the lane who kept his cool and finished low to the bottom corner of the post.

Ayew[27] joined Crystal Palace on loan transfer deadline day in 2018 from the then relegated Swansea City where the Ghanaian scored nine goals.

Jordan scored only one Premier League goal for the Eagles last season, but manager Roy Hogson reposed his confidence in him and signed him permanent for £2.50m on July 25, having enjoyed a great Nations Cup tournament in Egypt.

Manchester United united pulled parity in the 89th minute through Daniel James, but Patrick van Aanholt restored the lead for Crystal Palace in time added on.
