Ghanaian forward – Jordan Ayew has expressed his delight having scored his first goal of the season as Crystal Palace obliterated Leeds United 4-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Ayew, who made the highest contributions leading to goals for the Eagles in the 2019/20 season had not hit the back of the net this season, but a low shot in the 70th minute yesterday was all, but enough to break his goal account this season.

The Ghanaian attacker could not hide his joy as he jumped on his twitter page to express his feelings after the game;

“Three points & great team performance was the perfect response to last week’s disappointment!,” the striker wrote via his social media handle.

“Also, really happy to score my first goal of the season! Stay safe.”

Meanwhile, Wilfried Zaha who teed up Ayew for his goal also congratulated the team for putting up an attacking masterclass against a stubborn Leeds United team:

“Enjoyed today’s performance,” he wrote via twitter.
