Winner of Man Ghana 2017 [John Anum] has said that it is very refreshing being crowned the king of ‘The Gladiators Battle’ which took place last Saturday at the Osu Presbyterian Hall in Accra.
According to the Canada based athlete a lot of work went into shaping him up for the competition which was fiercely contested.
“I am very grateful to be the winner but it wasn’t easy at all. I have been working hard since I got to Canada”
“I contacted a coach by name Baiden to put me to shape prior to the competition so I knew it was going to be tough for anyone to beat me to the title,” John Anum adds.
“If we all want the sport to grow, then we need to be disciplined ourselves. I expected some of my colleagues to show maturity on the night.”
Meanwhile, Anum who is planning to compete in an international event pleaded with the government to come to the aid of the Ghana Body Building and Fitness Association [GBBFA] to help put the sport to the level where it ought to be.
