The year 2021 will forever remain a happily ever after for Jamaican imperishable sprinter, Elaine Sandra-Lee Thompson-Herah OD for her consistency.

The fastest woman alive [Thompson-Herah] has been named as Diamond League Most Consistent Athlete in the women’s sprints for the 2021 season having won four races on the Diamond League circuit in the calendar year.

The Banana Ground native who holds four of the top 10 times ever run in the 100m ran times of 10.54 and 10.72 to win the 100m at the Eugene and Paris Diamond League meets on August 21st and August 28th, respectively. She, however crowned the Diamond League final in Zurich in a spectacular fashion, running 10.65 seconds on September 9th to win gold.

She finished second [10.64 seconds] at the Lausanne Diamond League which was won by Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce on August 26th. Her only 200m win on the Diamond League circuit this year came in Gateshead where she ran 22.43 on July 13th.

It’s been trend of a trophy-filled festive period for the double-double Olympic champion having already been named World Female Athlete of the Year by World Athletics, Athletics Weekly’s Female Athlete of the Year, and the NACAC Female Athlete of the Year in the month of December.
