Jamaica’s men and women won their respective 4x200m relays at the Bullis Invitational at the Armory in New York on Saturday when Natoya Goule set a new Jamaican indoor record.

The men – Daniel Jamieson, Kavon Rattray, Jermaine Brown and Oshane Bailey – won a close race over the USA in 1:25.61. Coach Evans said the teams ran close on the first leg but the Jamaicans gradually pulled away to win.

The USA finished in second in 1:26.33 while Caribbean All-Star team was third in 1:30.12.

The women, Evans said, were comfortable winners.

Tamika Chambers, Verone Chambers, Tatiana Markland and Tovea Jenkins clocked 1:37.70 to the USA 1:40.70. France was third in 1:44.18.

In the 1000m, Jamaica’s Natoya Goule set a new national record of 2:37.55.
